(11/29/2022). Class canceled on Nov 29 (Evacuation in the Chemistry Bldg):

1. Today's class is canceled due to an emergency evacuation in the Chemistry Bldg, according to Dal Safe: https://qlq.ca/LJ8pq8.
2. Please hand in your Hw 6 in my office (Chase 254) by noon today.

(11/12/2022). Class resuming, Midterm Exam scheduled, and other plans:

1. The CUPE strike arrives at an end on Nov 12 (see this link for more information), and our class will resume in the coming week.
2. The Midterm Exam will take place on Nov 17, Thursday, again in class (Chemistry 223) from 8:35 am to 9:55 am. The coverage is reduced to Chapters 1 to 7.

(10/18/2022). Due to the impact of the CUPE strike (see this link for more information):

1. Our course is temporally suspended.
2. I will still be present in the classroom at the usual class time (Tuesdays/Thursdays, 8:35-9:55). However, no new lectures can be delivered due to the university policy. I will make that time a voluntary Q&A session, and you are welcome (but NOT mandatory) to come and ask questions regarding materials we have learned or any concerns regarding number theory.
3. My office hours will still be held at the usual time; they will not be canceled, so please feel free to come.

(09/26/2022). Due to hurricane Fiona and the accompanied power outage:

1. We will have NO class on Tuesday, Sep 27th, nor office hours, according to Dal Safe: https://qlq.ca/MP1M2N.
2. I will extend the deadline for Homework 2 by one week, so it is now due on Thursday, Oct 6th, in class.
3. There will be NO new homework assignment this week.
